Prayer for our Tables  (read by: Brenda Plamondon)
For birds, bugs, and butterflies,
We thank you, Loving God.
For hot dogs, hamburgers, hiking and home run,
We thank you, Loving God.
For lollipops, lemonade, lilacs, liquorice, ladybugs, and love,
We thank you, Loving God.
For sand, sunshine, and sprinklers,
We thank you, Loving God.
For popsicles, parks, and picnics,
We thank you, Loving God.
For family, friends, fun,
We thank you, Loving God.
And for the food we are about to share
at communion table and picnic tables,
We thank you, Loving God.
As today’s food nourishes us,
help us also to grow closer together and closer to You.
We pray that no one will be left without nourishment and care,
and that we will be Your hands in our world
to work to bring care, food, and love to all those in need,
through Christ our Lord. Amen.

We Hear God’s Word

Message:  Living Together Loving God

Loving Creator, Restoring Spirit,
Father and Mother of us all,
we know You are always present with us.
Help us to know Your presence
in our lives more deeply.
Help us to slow down and be aware
of all You are doing in creation and in our lives.

May we be present with each other.
Help us to slow down
from the busy-ness of the world
and truly listen to one another
Guide our hearts and minds
to a deeper communion with You
and with each other.
In the name of Your Son, Jesus the Christ,
who showed us how to love, forgive, and restore,
we pray all things.  Amen.

* Doxology: (538)
For the gift of creation, the gift of your love,
and the gift of the Spirit by which we live,
we thank you and give you the fruit of our hands.
May your grace be proclaimed by the gifts that we give.

* Offertory Prayer:
Creating God,
you have created the world and all that is in it.
Parent, Child and Life-giver,
you have given life to the family of the earth.
Show us a table that is large enough,
for everyone to find a seat,
and wide enough
to hold what everyone needs,
so that all who gather may be filled with your presence.
May we give and receive,
serve and be served,
as you intended from the beginning.  Amen

* Commissioning and Benediction: (2 Cor. 13:11-13)
Finally, brothers and sisters, farewell.
Put things in order, listen to my appeal,
agree with one another, live in peace;
and the God of love and peace will be with you.
Greet one another with a holy kiss.
All the saints greet you.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ,
the love of God,
and the communion of the Holy Spirit
be with you all.
And also with you.

* Sung Response:
Go now in peace, go now in peace,
may the love of God surround you
everywhere, everywhere, you may go.
