Sunday Service is at 10:15 a.m.
Care is available for children under 3 in the nursery. Older children are invited to attend Church School where they follow the ‘Learning Together Time’ curriculum while parents are involved in the regular worship service. Teenagers are invited to participate in a program especially designed to stimulate their spiritual awareness and growth.
Greeters
Teams of greeters, on a rotating basis, are in the Narthex early on Sunday mornings to distribute the Order of Service and welcome everyone as they arrive, and make visitors especially welcome. If you would like to be involved in this activity please contact the church secretary
Serving Communion
Communion is celebrated regularly at Britannia United Church, along with a few special occasions like Worldwide Communion Sunday. Our communion table is an open table. Anyone of whatever faith denomination, age or condition is invited to take communion. In keeping with the concept of "Ministry of the People" members of the congregation help prepare for and serve communion. If you would like to volunteer to help with serving communion, please contact:
Communion Coordinator: Andreas Thuswaldner – (613-829-8207)
Reading The Lesson
In keeping with the principle of Ministry of the People, it is a tradition at Pinecrest Road for members of the congregation to read the lesson at Sunday worship. The lesson may be from the Hebrew Scriptures, the Gospels, the Epistles, or a psalm (which might also have musical interludes). If you would like the opportunity to read from Scripture please contact the coordinator. Your name will be added to our list of readers and you will be contacted in due course.
